Glasswerk is delighted to announce Dogs Die In Hot Cars as headliners for the Outbreak Festival, and will be appearing Downstairs at The Garage on Friday February 18th.

The prestigious slot is no more than the band deserve after an incredible twelve months which has seen them become one of the most exciting and original groups of the new British crop. Gigs alongside the likes of The Zutons, Athlete and Feeder have helped create a massive, loyal fan-base and have established their live performance credentials, whilst their debut album ‘Please Describe Yourself' was received with critical acclaim last summer, from industry and fans alike.

With proven hits such as “Godhopping” and “I Love You 'Cause I Have To” already in their repertoire, the ‘Dogs' can only go from strength to strength in 2005. One thing for sure, they will certainly bring Outbreak to a triumphant close.

Discovered by ex-Smiths Manager Joe Moss, and relocated to Manchester from their Cornwall home in order to hone their talents and establish themselves on the city's buzzing circuit, Haven have enjoyed great success in recent years.

Two superb albums, numerous tours around the world, particularly Japan and the USA , and the growth of a massive fan-base home and abroad…. their cv speaks volumes for their hard graft and enthusiasm, and also for their ability to write beautiful poignant songs, delivered with clinical musicianship.

Haven are the main support at Outbreak's showcase event and will play to a packed Garage. They haven't been in the big smoke for a long time… it's good to have them back

Every now and then a “buzz” band comes along. They're still not established, but their gigs are packed to the rafters, their names are constantly dropped in conversation by those in the know, and everyone says they saw their first gig. Fans of Kate are one of those.

Virgin, XFM and Radio 1 have all cottoned on that Fans of Kate are one they can't afford to miss. Cue massive airplay, live sessions, the works. Their debut EP was released at the end of 2004 on Headwrecker Records.

The drum-machines tick the eighties electro-pop box, but FoK's primary idiom is piano – and guitar based melodic indie-pop in the Coldplay vein, with added prog and emo-meets-Grandaddy slants. Keane with charisma, perhaps (and equally radio-friendly songs).
